ISSUE: Bridge error notification regarding an item not found in QuickBooks (error text like: “Regarding orderId:XXXXXX, (AptBridge internal orderId:XXXXX), QuickBooks returned the following message:Object "46E0000-1202330161" specified in the request cannot be found.”).
SOLUTION: resolution as follows: 1) obtain the item name referenced from AptBridge support; 2) create/activate the item in QuickBooks; 2) sign in to AptBridge; 3) select the “Tools” menu, then select “Manual Transactions”; 4) under the section titled “Communication Queue Requests” check the “Queue QB Customer and Item Sweep” box, and press “Submit” directly under (once submitted “Queued Customer Sweep” and “Queued Inventory Item Sweep” status should now read “OPEN”); 5) run WebConnector to update customers and items in AptBridge; 6) in AptBridge, in the Manual Transactions page, under the section titled “Manual Downloads”, enter the orderID in the “Order Number StartId” and in the “Order Number EndId” fields. Press “Submit”; 7) click on the “Orders” menu (top menu bar), type the Nexternal order number into the “Foreign Order ID” field, and press “Lookup Order(s)” (upper-right hand). Select the order (click on the blue order number) and the OrderView screen opens showing the order in question. Press the “Send Order to QB” button near the right-hand top of the screen. 8) run WebConnector to download the associated sales document.
EXPLANATION: if you inactivate a QuickBooks item (and that item later shows up in an order from Nexternal), AptBridge may not yet know that the item has been inactivated, and will try to reference the object in a sales document (AptBridge has created the associated order and sales document, QuickBooks reported the error during an attempted sales document creation request). Once the identifier is fixed (Nexternal SKU now matches a valid QuickBooks item name), you must request an item sweep (and run the WebConnector) to bring all active items into AptBridge. You then must download the order (which re-associates the ordered items with the QuickBooks items), and tell AptBridge to re-create the sales document. Now the queued sales document is ready for download via WebConnector. (NOTE: customer and item sweeps are automatically queued every 24/hour period. If you automatically run WebConnector periodically, you can skip steps 4 and 5 above by allowing the system to “sweep” in changed items as part of normal processing.)
